About MoldVerified
Finding mold help in Florida shouldn't mean handing your number to a broker and bracing for five companies to call. We built the directory we wished existed: verified, dated, and built so you decide who calls.
Why we exist
The mold-remediation category runs on fear and distrust. People get told common household mold is “toxic,” get quoted thousands for an hour of work, and get their phone number sold to every contractor in a fifty-mile radius. Florida happens to have something most states don't: a public licensing regime for mold work. That turns “is this company legit?” from a marketing claim into a fact you can check. We built MoldVerified to put that fact front and center.
What we do
Verify against the source
Every company's Florida license and certification is checked against the public registry and stamped with the date — and you can click through to confirm it.
Protect your number
You pick who calls. One call goes to one company you choose. We don't sell or blast your number, ever.
Tell the truth
Honest health information from the CDC and EPA, real Florida cost ranges, and a DIY answer when the job is small enough to handle yourself.
Rank by merit
Listing is verification-based, not paid placement. No company buys its way to the top.
Florida first, on purpose
We started in Florida because its statute (Chapter 468, Part XVI) requires a state license for any mold job over 10 square feet, and bars the same firm from both testing and removing mold on the same property within 12 months. That gives us something verifiable to build on — and gives you a real protection most homeowners don't know they have.
